I have been building production software since 2014. Over the years, I’ve worked on multi-region health checking, configuration distribution, API gateways, load balancers, reverse proxies, search, and cloud-native infrastructure.

I enjoy problems where reliability, performance, and failure handling matter. When I run into something I do not understand, I usually end up reading the source, finding the relevant papers, running a few experiments, and writing down what I learned.

I also contribute to open-source projects, including Envoy Proxy, Apache Iceberg, Pebble, and L3AF.

Outside software, I make photographs and occasionally write poetry.
